John Joint

John Joseph Joint, age 62, of Erie passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at UPMC Hamot. He was born January 23, 1954 in Erie the son of the late John M. and Anne Gehringer Joint.
John attended East High School and played basketball on their JV Team. His love of basketball would carry on throughout his life and he was especially proud to be a fan of the Boston Celtics. John had a life-long fascination with cars and enjoyed auto racing, and was always proud of his auto detailing skills and work.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Anne Joint.
John is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer and Sarah Joint; a granddaughter, Angelina Corder, and his siblings; Kathleen Joint and her husband James Zeitler of Boston, MA; Michael J. Joint; Mary E. Joint; and Anne Joint-Shapiro, all of Erie. He also leaves behind his paternal aunt, Sr. Ann Marie Joint, SSJ.
Friends are invited to call at the John J. Quinn Funeral Home, West 9th & Liberty St. on Friday from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Services and burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hamot Health Foundation, 302 French St., Erie, PA 16507.
