John Gutowski

John P. Gutowski, age 88, of Erie, was called home on his 88th birthday, Sunday August 2, 2015 at St. Vincent Health Center, surrounded by his family.

He was born in Oil City, on August 2, 1927, a son of the late John and Antoinett Puczak Gutowski.

John graduated from St. Joseph High School in Oil City. He worked at Wydee Dydee and Coyne Textiles. He was a member of Real Life Assembly of God and Bethel Assembly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Aites Gutowski; two brothers: Raymond and Norbert Gutowski and an infant daughter, Pamela Sue Gutowski.

John is survived by five children: Deanna Scherrer and her husband Frank, Sharon Kirsopp and her husband Thomas, John K. Gutowski and his wife Patty, Mark Gutowski and his wife Loree, Justina Pushinsky and her husband Randy; six siblings: Martha Wydro and her husband Walter, Joanne, Daniel, Loretta, Nancy and Sr. Justina Gutowski. He is further survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Real Life Assembly of God, 3902 W 38th St, Erie, PA 16506 on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. with Pastors Jim Grove of Real Life Assembly of God and Marty Critchfield of Bethel Assembly of God co-officiating.
