John Eckonen

John K. Eckonen, age 34, of Millcreek passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 10, 2017.

He was born in Conneaut, OH on August 7, 1982, a son of Catherine Wilson Pudder, and her husband, Kurt of Linesville and the late Bo Eckonen.

John attended Northwestern High School and had worked in construction. He loved the beach and traveling.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Beverly and John Turcho and Ken Wilson.

John is survived by his children, Elijah and Ryleigh Eckonen; his girlfriend, Nicole DeFranco of Millcreek; his siblings: Nicole Powers and her husband, Thomas of Linesville, Justin Eckonen (Jennifer) of Jefferson, OH and Brandon Toddy of Ashtabula, OH; aunts and uncles, Audrey and Rob Eager, Sharon Vickery and Amy Landis; grandparents, Margo Wilson of Albion, Tom and Diane Eckonen of Meadville; step siblings, Ron, Michael, Amy and Danielle, all of Ohio. He is further survived by his step dad, Lance Davis of Springfield, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East, Girard on Friday from 4pm until the time of the service at 7pm.
