John Chatman, age 73, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at his residence.
John was born on June 10, 1949, in Crandall Mississippi, the son of the late Weston and Rosie Lee West Chatman.
John was employed at Fiske & Sons before retiring. John loved the Lord and was a Deacon at Greater Bethlehem Temple Church. John loved family and watching preachers on T.V.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Chatman Mook; three brothers, Marshall Chatman, Charles Chatman, and Leroy Chatman; and a sister-in-law, Ruby Chatman.
John leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 15 years, Teresa Chatman; his brothers, Deacon Weston Chatman (Janet), Eddie Chatman (Natalie), Benny Mitchell (Lynette); sister, Eloise Carter (Alir); his children, Julien Moore, Dawn Moore Carson (Trent), Galen Moore, Roemel Phillips, Justin Brunson, Cherice Chandler, and Carmen Sansom; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves behind a special friend, Deacon Marion Sanders.
Friends are invited to call on Monday, June 27, 2022, at Greater Bethlehem Temple Church, 4103 Washington Avenue, from 10:00 A.M. until time of his Homegoing service at 12:00 P.M. with Elder Albert Thomas officiating and Pastor Joyce Moses eulogizing. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
