John Armour

John H. Armour, age 81, of Leesburg, FL passed away on Friday, August 12, 2022 at Certus Memory Care in Mount Dora, Florida.

He was born in Erie, PA on June 28, 1941, a son of the late, Howard and Mildred (Myers) Armour.

John loved Florida and became a resident in 2018. Before that he was a snow bird and spent his summers at his home in Canadohta and winters in Leesburg, FL.

John was a man of many talents. He was a tool and die maker. He became a framer for his wife’s business, Just Stitchin’. He built his summer lake house in later years. He also helped on Janet’s rentals.

He also did woodcarving which received 3rd in World for the Raven. He loved to fish and travel and was always doing something. John will be sadly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marie in 2001 and also a niece.

He is survived by his fiancée, Janet Bauer of Harborcreek, Melissa and Haley Hartleb of Harborcreek, Matthew and Reed Kirchner of Kingsport, TN, a sister, Jayne (Donald) Granahan of Erie, a brother, Ronald Armour (Cherrie De`Franco) of South Carolina, and two nephews, Michael Granahan of Erie and Joseph Armour of Arizona.

Services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
