Joe Batista

Joe H. Batista, age 51, of Erie passed away Friday, March 18, 2022 at Saint Vincent Hospital. He was born in Lakewood, New Jersey, February 12, 1971 to Jose, and Beverly Batista. Joe was a foundry worker for Rigid Company in Erie.

He loved the Dallas Cowboys, auto racing, especially two NASCAR greats, Dale Earnhardt, and Tony Stewart; he loved 80’s rock, having seen Mötley Crüe five times in concert.

Joe is survived by his sons, Joshua Batista, and Austin Batista (Makayla), and his grandson Logan Batista. He is further survived by his mother, Beverly Batista, his siblings, Alex (Maria) Batista, and Susan Batista Eagley (John), his girlfriend of 17 years, Flo Perez and her three children, and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jose Batista.

Friends are invited to call on the family Wednesday March 23, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Service Inc. Downtown 602 W. 10^th Street, Erie, and are invited to a funeral service there, Thursday March 24, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Gate of heaven Cemetery.
