Linda Strubel

Linda Strubel, age 81, of Lake City, passed away Friday, September 13, 2024, at Saint Vincent Hospital.

She was born in Erie on June 2, 1943, the daughter of the late Robert and Geraldine Wing Bible.

Linda was a 1961 graduate of Girard Union High School and worked for Brown Brothers and then Penelec.

Linda was a member of Lake City Presbyterian Church, where she was the organist for many years and was a former member of the Eastern Star of Albion.

She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband David Strubel in 2014, and a twin brother Donald Lee, who died at birth; a daughter in law, Rona Strubel; two brothers: James and Edward Bible; and two brothers in law: James Edwards and Fred VanMeter; a sister in law Janet Strubel.

She is survived by two daughters, Wendy Zukowski and her husband Michael, of Millcreek and Rebecca (David Rudd) Westgate, of Erie; a son, Michael (Julie Graziano) Strubel; of Girard; eight grandchildren, Allyson (Justin Grossman), Benjamin, Samuel and Olivia Zukowski, Justin and Kaitlyn Strubel, and Ryan and Riley Westgate; a great grandson, Waylan; two sisters, Patricia Edwards, of Iowa and Sue VanMeter, of Albion; sister in law, Kathy Bible; and brother in law, Jack Strubel and his wife Judy; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home 525 Main Street East Girard on Wednesday Sept 18th from 4pm until the time of Service at 7pm with Rev. Debra Rimmer officiating. Burial will be Thursday morning at 10am at the Fairview Cemetery.
