Joanne Mcdaniel

JoAnne Marcia (Eickley) McDaniel, age 76, of Erie passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at her residence. She was born March 12, 1944 in Geneva, OH the daughter of the late Kenneth and Dorothy (Brown) Eickley.

A longtime resident of Erie, she enjoyed music and movies. Her greatest joy was following the activities of her children and grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald J. McDaniel who died in 2008 and a brother, Harold Eickley.

JoAnne is survived by her children; Randy McDaniel (Gina) of Mililani, Hawaii, Donald T. McDaniel (Makayla McGuire) of Erie and Cheryl Szuchmanski (Thomas) of Erie. She is the grandmother of Matthew McDaniel (Britney), Nicky McDaniel, Kristen McDaniel, Emmett McDaniel and Alyssa Szuchmanski. She is also survived by a great-granddaughter, Maddison McDaniel along with two brothers, Roger Eickley (Terri), Melvin Eickley, and a sister, Shirley Pytlarz, (Ed). She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited to call at the Quinn Funeral Home, West 9^th & Liberty St. on Monday from 3:00 PM until 4:30 PM at which time a Sharing of Memories will be held. Private burial will be in Erie County Memorial Gardens.
