Joann M. Lillberg Hermann, age 86, of Millcreek, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at Pleasant Ridge Manor West, following a brief illness.
She was born in Erie on July 4, 1929 a daughter of the late Ralph and Genevieve Sitter Lillberg.
Joann graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1947. Joann worked as a Secretary at Gannon College and Eckerd Drug. Later in life she worked as a Secretary at the Villa Maria College. She was also a member of St. Jude the Apostle Church. She really loved animals especially dogs. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting, counted cross-stitching and also loved to read. She loved shopping and going out to eat.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, her twin-sister, Mary Ann Heberlein and Jean Kobusinski.
She is survived by three children, Janet Knapp and her husband, Robert of Lake City, PA, Jim Hermann and his wife Cheryl of Springfield, PA and Roger Hermann and his wife Kim of Apache Junction, AZ; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a brother, Ralph Lillberg.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street, (at Powell Avenue,) on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there on Tuesday at 10 a.m.
Entombment will be in the Calvary Mausoleum.
