Joan Vogt

Joan Marie Vogt, age 74, of Erie, passed away at her residence on October 3, 2016.

She was born January 16, 1942 in Erie, a daughter of the late Lloyd P. and Sabrina Battaglia Vogt.

Joan attended Saint Peter’s Cathedral and was always helpful to her elderly neighbors, cooking for and looking after them. She enjoyed crafts, arranging flowers and collecting unicorns and porcelain dolls.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Barbara Ann Munoz and Mary Lou Marin, as well as her brother, Robert Vogt.

Joan is survived by her brothers, Lloyd W. Vogt (Brenda), of Erie and Joseph Vogt (Ginger), of FL, and her sister, Donna M. Gray (Victor), of Saegertown. She is further survived by step-brothers and step-sisters as well as several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 602 West 10th Street on Tuesday from 1pm until the time of the memorial service at 2 pm with Reverend Benjamin Travis, of Trinity Lutheran Church in Meadville officiating. Burial at Lakeside Cemetery will be private at the convenience of the family.
