Joan Romba

Joan Seib Romba, age 82, of Millcreek, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Walnut Creek Rehab.

She was born in Erie, on May 30, 1934, a daughter of the late William and Frances Amann Seib.

Joan graduated from Academy High School. She went to work at General Telephone right after high school. After being a homemaker and raising her family, she worked as a Customer Service Supervisor for Big Lots, retiring from there in 2010, after 20 years of service.

She was a member of Our Lady of Peace; a life auxiliary member of VFW 740 Edinboro/McKean; St. Francis Ushers Club and was a former member of the Zukor and Elks Club.

Her favorite past times included Bingo, Soduko and watching game shows. She was a Cleveland Indians fan. Joan enjoyed reading, knitting, crocheting and cross stitching. Her greatest love was spending time with her children and grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley in 2015; two brothers, William and David Seib; and her sister, Pearl Horl.

Joan is survived by her children: Michael and his wife Nancy of Waterford, Daniel and his wife Kathie of McKean, Douglas and his wife Anne of Waterford, Deborah Lindsay and her husband, Greg of Tega Cay, SC, Matthew, and Jamie and his wife Lisa, both of Millcreek; eleven grandchildren: Nicholas, Abigail, Nicole, Christopher, Ryan, Adam, Mark, Lauren, Courtney, Samantha and Gianna; and seven great grandchildren: Logan, Eleonore, Charlotte, Emma, Ava, Austin and William. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Joan will be especially missed by her best buddy, Cody.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th Street (at Powell Ave) on Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a prayer service there on Thursday at 9:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady Of Peace Church 2408 W. 38th Street, Erie, PA 16506 at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery in McKean.
