Jerry “Bo” Prince, age 70, of Erie, born in Laurel, Mississippi, on June 15, 1947, a son of Ruthie Mae (Prince) Moss and Earvin Amos, Sr., transitioned to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
Jerry graduated from the legendary Oak Park High School in Laurel, Mississippi with the class of 1967. Growing up he was a member of the Queens Chapel Baptist Church of Laurel, MS. Jerry relocated to Cleveland, Ohio in 1967 and then to Erie, Pennsylvania. He retired from GE in December 2012 after 35 years of employment. He was a faithful member and true servant of God, serving as Deacon of the New Revelation City of Joy Church of Erie, PA.
Jerry was a firm believer in family, love, friendship and loyalty and loved to travel. He was especially known for his outstanding D.J. services throughout the Erie community and among other cities.
Friends may call at the Zem Zem Shriner Banquet and Conference Center, 2525 West 38th Street, Erie, PA on Saturday, January 13th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 noon, with Elder Weyman B. Stephens, Jr., Founder and Pastor of New Revelation City of Joy Church as the Eulogist and Overseer Danny L. Stanton, Sr., Pastor of Friendship Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 W.10th Street, Erie, PA. Memorials may be made to the Cleveland Clinic, 9500 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, Ohio, 44195.
