Jerry Pasquarello

November 14, 1929 — September 7, 2018

Jerry Pasquarello, age 88 of Erie, passed away Friday September 7, 2018 at the VA Medical Center (Erie).

He was born in Philadelphia, PA on November 14, 1929, a son of the late Michael and Catherine Diorsano Pasquarello.

Jerry graduated from John Bartram High School, Class of 1947 and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict,  achieving the rank of Petty Officer 1st Class.

Jerry worked for Penn Central Railroad for 20 years, until 1971, and was the owner of the original Dunkin Donuts at 12th and Peninsula Drive from 1971 until 2003.

He was a member of the Thomas R. Patton Lodge #659 F.&.A.M. of Philadelphia, Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Erie, where he was a 32nd Degree Mason, a member of Zem Zem Temple Shrine, and a member of the Oriental Band. Jerry enjoyed walking, sailing and traveling on many cruises. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rose Curran Pasquarello, his son-in-law, Jack Ackerman, and four brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Judy, children George Pasquarello (Nancy) of McKean, PA, Dianna Ackerman of Egg Harbor, NJ, Kathleen O’Toole (William) of Bluffton, SC, and Danny Pasquarello of St. Augustine, FL, Alex Peloquin (Prang) and Michelle Mwenye (Michael) both of Northern Virginia. He is further survived by 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, four great great-grandchildren, three brothers, and one sister.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date in Virginia.
