Jerry Burkett

Jerry Burkett, age 79, of Girard, passed away December 16, 2022, at his residence.

He was the son of the late Andrew P. Burkett and Florence Kennedy.  He was born August 5, 1943, in Punxsutawney, PA, where he graduated from High School Class of 1961.

Jerry served in the United States Army.  He worked as a machinist at General Electric for over 35 years.  He enjoyed camping, working around the house, and at one time was a pilot.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eight siblings. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Deann M. Malinowski Burkett; two children, Sherry A. Lewis and husband Todd of Light House Point, FL, and son Jason P. Burkett and wife Erin of Fairview; four grandchildren, Jessica and Justin Lewis and Owen and Cameron Burkett and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. Girard.
