Jennie Dobbs

Jennie Elizabeth Dobbs, age 90 of Erie, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Woodhaven Care Facility in Monroeville, PA.  She was born on July 25, 1927 in Meadville, PA, the daughter of the late Ora and Anna Mae Barnes Brewton.

Jennie was a graduate of Meadville High School and worked as a machine taper for General Electric until her retirement.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, listening to news talk shows and shopping..

In addition to her loving husband, Clifton Dobbs, Jr., she is preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Ora Annette Elliott and Christine Deborah James. 

Jennie is survived by her sons, Marshall Dobbs, of Wyano and Clifton Dobbs, III, (Carol) of Los Angeles, CA; her grandchildren, John and Larabee, Wendy Reynolds-Dobbs (Damion Bounds), Shayne Perdue, Aaramis Perdue, Briana Dobbs, Devon Dobbs and eight great grandchildren; two sisters, Alene Patricia Jenkins and Theresa Brewton Lyons (Norman), and one brother, William Edward Brewton (Rebecca).

Friends are invited to attend a prayer services at Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 602 W.10^th St., Erie, PA 16502 on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 10 a.m.  Inurnment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
