Jennie Blackman

Jennie M. Blackman age 85, of Erie, passed away on Friday, November 01, 2013 at UPMC Hamot following a brief illness. She was born in Slickville, PA on February 1, 1928, a daughter of the late Santo and Agatina Lombardo Carnabuci. She graduated from Arnold High School. Jennie worked for General Telephone Company for over 35 years. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. Jennie was a professional Shopper. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert K. Blackman, a brother, Charles Carnabuci and a sister Frances Robotka. She is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Lashinger of Fairview; two granddaughters, Maria Lashinger of Walnut Creek, CA and Elizabeth Emanuel and her husband Carl of Ashburn, VA; a sister Connie Galli of Lower Burrell, PA; a brother Salvadore Carnabuci of Columbia, SC; a sister in law Margaret Carnabuci of Odenten, MD and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th Street, on Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a service on Tuesday at Blessed Sacrament Church 1626 W. 26th Street, Erie, PA 16508 at 10 am with Msgr.
