Jeffrey Semrau

Jeffrey T. Semrau, age 66, of Girard, passed away Monday, June 22, 2015, at St. Vincent Health Center.

He was born September 28, 1948, in Erie, a son of the late Ralph and Vivian Kepler Semrau. Upon graduation from Seneca High School he enlisted in the US Navy. After discharge from the Navy, he graduated from Hamot Nursing School and went on to work as a nurse for 47 years, many of those at Pleasant Ridge Manor West and then retiring from St. Mary’s at Asbury Ridge after ten years. He took great pleasure in maintaining his home, yard, and garden. His beloved grandchildren were his pride and joy.

Jeffrey is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 17 years, Betty Lou Ardillo Semrau; his children: Emily Thompson (Tom), Adam Semrau, and Myla Shiel Bowes (Jeremy); his grandchildren: Aiden Bowes, Macy Bowes, Tommy Thompson and Amelia Semrau; his siblings: Linda Mroz, Chip Semrau, and John Semrau; a very special niece, Toni Ardillo; and his special friends: Janet, Phil, Molly, and Amelia Wright; as well as many nieces and nephews.
