Jeffrey P. Jackson

Jeffrey P. Jackson, age 78, of Erie, passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024 at St. Vincent Hospital. 

Born on June 19, 1946 in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late W. Paul and Lois C. Kaufman Jackson.

He graduated from Tech Memorial High School and the PA Vocational Rehabilitation in Johnstown, PA. Jeffrey worked at St. Vincent Health Center for 20 years. He volunteered at the Blasco Library.

Jeffrey bowled for Steady Strivers for 35 years, enjoyed swimming, spending time outdoors, and architectural drawing on his computer. Jeffrey was also an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. 

“He would not want his death to be mourned, but rather his life to be celebrated”.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister-in-law, Joan Ribblett and her husband Ted

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Patricia M. (Pattie) Hiteshew Jackson; two sisters: Susan Hain and her husband Harry of Erie, Leslie Zukowski and her husband Stan of Girard, PA; five sisters-in-law: Doris Adams and her husband Bob of Windber, PA, Lois Shackleford and her husband Jim of Windber, PA, Alice Sweitzer of Manchester, PA, Martha Miller and her husband Irvin of Dover, PA, and Linda Barsis of York, PA; many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and a special friend, Lou Ann Oatman “Buddy”. 

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Swanson, Dr. Pearson and all of the nurses and nurses aids at St. Vincent, Community Resources for Independence, Hospice, Chosen, Ramps of Hope and the Lift Program. 

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, West Ridge 3801 W. 26th Street. On Friday, December 20th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and are invited to a service there on Saturday, December 21st at 11:00 a.m. 

Private burial in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
