Jeffrey P. Carlo, age 65, of Millcreek, died on Sunday October 25, 2015 at UPMC Hamot. He was born in Erie, PA on January 24, 1950, the son of the late Joyce Andrews and Peter Carlo.
Jeff graduated from Strong Vincent High School in 1968. Upon graduation, he served in the Pennsylvania National Guard, receiving an Honorable Discharge. Jeff was an extremely hard worker as an industrial laborer and machinist. He worked at Fenestra Corporation for over 20 years, serving as an active member of their UAW and Union President for many of those years. For the past 8 years he worked at Accuride Corporation and was an active member of the local UAW. He was a member of St. Jude the Apostle Church, Erie Elks Club and the Erie Golf Club. Jeff was an avid golfer and enjoyed watching football (especially his beloved Cleveland Browns) and gardening. . But most of all, he loved spending time with his girls, family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his uncle Johnny Colao and his aunt and uncle Rosie and Al DeNisco.
Jeff is survived by his wife (the love of his life) of 44 years, Bonnie; two daughters: Erin Grady and Emily (Eric) Hubler, both from Erie; his granddaughter Lily Grady; Intrauterine twin grandchildren; Sisters-in-law Sharyn (Stephen) Barrett and Natalie Barone; Aunt Angie Colao; Nieces Stephanie (Eric) Sontag and Hannah Sontag of Erie, Kara Barrett of South Bend, IN; and many cousins and loving friends.
Friends are invited to call on the family on Thursday from 3pm - 7pm at Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 W. 26th St. (at Powell Ave.) and attend a service on there on Friday at 11am with Rev. Michael DeMartinis officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 823 Filmore Avenue Erie, PA 16505.
