Jeannine (Jean) Liebel of Erie, passed away on Friday, July 21st, 2017 after a brief stay at Saint Mary’s Asbury Ridge.
She was born in Erie, Pa. on August 30th, the daughter of the late Carl N. and Mildred (Darais) Faulkner. A lifelong Erie resident, Jeannine was a graduate of Wesleyville High School, and a member of Our Lady of Peace Church. She was employed at Erie Resistor Corp. for over 10 years and was a food demonstrator at local grocery stores for over 15 years.
Jeannine’s main passion in life was the love of her family. She was always available for straight forward and sound advice delivered with love to her children, and was especially proud of her grandchildren. Her favorite past time was watching television, of which tennis, and “Judge Judy” were her favorites
In addition to her parents, Jeannine was preceded in death by a son, Richard J Liebel Jr.; three brothers, Robert, Keith, and Ronald Faulkner; a grandson Robert Dixon II; and two sons in laws; Albino Sigua, and Jeffery Baker.
Jeannine is survived by her husband, Richard J. Liebel, whom she married in 1953; three daughters, Janice Baker-Carangi(Tom) of Erie, Carolyn Dixon(Robert) of Erie, Cheryl Mazurek(Mike) of Snohomish County, Wa., one sister Alice Williams of Erie, five grandchildren; Kelli(Don), Scott, Reaud, Braden, and Maleala, and one great grandson Elliot. She is further survived by many nieces, and nephews.
No calling hours will be observed and private burial will be in Trinity Cemetery.
The Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street, (at Powell Avenue) has been entrusted with the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Anna Shelter, 1555 East 10th Street, Erie, PA 16511 in her honor.
