Jeanne Copus

Jeanne Louise Copus, age 74, of Girard, died Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at St. Vincent Health Center. Born September 28, 1938 in Union City, she was a daughter of the late Milo and Dorothy Palmer Whitehill. Jeanne was a graduate of East High School and had been a waitress and cook at Girard Diner for over 30 years. She enjoyed crocheting, making dolls, doing puzzles and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband John J. Copus in 2008 and a sister Mary Margaret Olson. She is survived by three sons: Bob Copus and his wife Cheryl, Tim Copus and his wife Carolyn, and Rick Copus and his wife Karen, all of Girard; a sister, Connie Street of Umatilla, FL, four grandchildren: Maggie, Suzie, Emily and Jacob; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East in Girard on Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in Burton's All Faiths Chapel with Rev.
