Jeanette Metzler

Jeanette Marie (Murphy) Metzler, age 56, of Erie passed away Monday, July 30, 2018 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born February 21, 1962 in Birkhead, U.K., the daughter of Owen and Jeanette (Price) Murphy.
Jeanette and her family came to the United States forty years ago and she had attended Edinboro and Clarion Universities. Jeanette was an avid reader and enjoyed collecting teapots and tea cups. She was always ready to help others, and will be remembered as an incredibly kind and loving person by her friends and family.  She had fought a courageous battle during these last seven years of illness. Throughout everything, her proudest accomplishment was watching her daughter Megan grow into a loving and caring young lady.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Fred and Sophie Price.

Jeanette is survived by her beloved parents, Owen and Jeanette (Price) Murphy, her adored daughter, Megan Metzler, and much loved brother, Damian Murphy of Columbia, SC.

Friends may call at the Quinn Funeral Home, West 9^th & Liberty St. on Friday August 3, 2018, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at which time a Funeral Service will be held. Burial will be private.
