Jean Elizabeth Snook, age 101, of Erie, died on Christmas Day, December 25, 2017 at her residence.
She was born in Erie on September 30, 1916 daughter of the late J. Everett and Mildred Shoudy Snook.
Jean was a 1934 graduate of Strong Vincent High School and a 1939 graduate of Villa Maria College.
She was an active member of the Episcopal Cathedral of St. Paul Church and for years was involved with the food pantry.
Jean worked as a supervisor in the Credit Department at First National Bank of Pennsylvania from 1959 until 1969.
She enjoyed quilting, playing bridge, traveling, sewing and music.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, C. Maxwell and C. Richard Snook.
Jean is survived by two nieces, Mary Carol Williams and her husband Robert of Atlanta, GA, Judith Ann Zelina and her husband Tim of Millcreek, a nephew, Thomas Snook and his wife Christine of Lake City, seven grand nieces and nephews, Aron Snook and his wife Trisha of Girard, David Snook of Hoboken, NJ, Elizabeth Daoust and her husband Joseph of Millcreek, Joshua Williams and his wife Alison, Jess Williams and his wife Christa, Jacob Williams and his wife Melissa, and Mary Kathryn Williams, all of Atlanta, GA; as well as many great great grand nephews and nieces
A service will be held at the Cathedral of St. Paul at a later date. Burial will be private.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East, Girard.
