Jean Warren Smith

Jean (Warren) Smith, age 88 of Erie, PA passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024. 

Born in Geneva, PA on June 8, 1935, of the late Carl and Mildred (Adsit) Warren.  

Jean graduated from Conneaut Lake High School in 1953. She married Richard N.  Smith Sr. in 1953. Jean enjoyed raising her four children, as well as extra activities that included going dancing, bowling, gardening, and going to the YMCA, and later spending time with her grandkids. She was a member of the Church of the Cross for many years. 

She is survived by her son, Timothy D. Smith, of Bowling Green, OH, daughter, Tracy (Ryback) Smith of Erie, PA, 11 grandchildren, Dustin Smith, Sammantha Smith, Nicole Smith-Eliason, Kent Smith, Lexi Smith, Carly Smith, Kayli (Ryback) Desin, Kenzie Ryback Esq., Carter Ryback, Kolbie Gordon, and Shaelynn Smith, several nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren, and her twin sister, Jane McCraken, of Hadley, PA.

Preceded in death by her husband, Richard N. Smith Sr., son, Richard N. Smith Jr., son, Gerald P. Smith, and grandson, Dean R. Smith, of Bowling Green, OH.

Friends may visit at the Burton Quinn-Scott Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street, Erie, PA 16506, on Sunday, March 3rd, for a small service at 11:00 a.m., the burial will follow at the Sheakleyville Cemetery, Crawford County, PA.
