Jean Levandowski

November 20, 1925 — February 26, 2013

Jean Marie Levandowski, age 87, formerly of Millcreek, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2013, at Ball Pavilion.

She was born in North East, PA on November 20, 1925, a daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Scozzie Zipperola (Zipp).

Jean was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School and a member of St. Jude the Apostle Church. She was a homemaker who enjoyed crossword puzzles, loved to watch tennis and had much care and compassion for animals. Jean was very involved with class reunions for her Roosevelt Elementary School.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Levandowski in 1970 and a son, Alan B. Levandowski in 1982, and a brother Richard Zipp.

She is survived by a son, John A. Levandowski, two grandchildren, Michael A. Levandowski and his wife Jill and Karen Zohos and her husband Peter, and five great-grandchildren, Logan and Brandon Levandowski and Billy, Toula and Gracie Zohos. A sister, Grace Crotty and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street, (at Powell Avenue) on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and are invited to attend a service there on Friday at 10:00 a.m.

Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.

Jean's family would like to thank the staff at both Ball Pavillion and Asera Care Hospice for the loving and compassionate care she received.
