Jean Duncombe

May 24, 1931 — June 19, 2014

Jean M. (Moran, Yusz) Duncombe, 83 of Erie, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 19, 2014.

She was born in Erie on May 24, 1931. Jean was the daughter of the late Richard and Marie Chodt Moran.

Jean was a 1949 graduate of Strong Vincent High School. She was a wonderful homemaker as well as holding various business administration functions. She was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother & Great-Grandmother. A lifelong member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Jean was very active in the Church & Choir. Jean was devoted to her Children, Grandchildren & Great-Grandchildren. She enjoyed golfing & traveling with her late husband in their motorhome.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Russell O. Duncombe, her brothers Richard, Harrison, Donald and David Moran.

Jean is survived by her daughters: Diana (Stanley) Stansell of Chesapeake, VA., Denise (Max) Gibson of Erie, Dorothe (John) Hubbert of Florida; her sons: Daniel P. (Pamela) Yusz of Colleyville, TX., David (Lynn) Yusz and Donald (Lori) Yusz of Erie; Her brother, Robert Moran and 11 Grandchildren, 3 Great-Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th street ( at Powell Ave) on Sunday from 4 to 6 PM.

There will be a church service at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 1024 Peach Street, Erie, PA at 11:00am on Monday, June 23, 2014 with Reverend Robin Swope.

Contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 1645 West 8th Street, Erie, PA 16505 or the Charity of one’s choice.
