Jean Altomonte

Jean Ruth Altomonte, age 87, of Erie and formerly of Uniontown, PA, passed away Monday, March 19, 2018 at the Ball Pavilion of Brevellier Village. 

She was born on August 30, 1930 in Uniontown, PA, the daughter of the late Andrew and Suzanna Hllavach. 

She worked as a telemarketer for more than 20 years with the Herald Standard newspaper and was a member of St. Mark Episcopal Church in Erie, and a former member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Uniontown.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carmen Altomonte, Sr., and two sons, Carmen Altomonte, Jr., and Carl Altomonte; a grandson, Carmen Altomonte.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Carly Rowe (Sean), of Erie, and Jason Altomonte (Dayna), of Carlisle, PA; and five great grandchildren.

Friends may call at St. Mark Episcopal Church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m., with Bishop Sean Rowe and Rev. Don Baxter officiating.

Private burial will be in Sylvan Heights Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to the Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 602 West 10^th St., Erie.
