Jay Spence

Jay R. Spence age 67, of Millcreek, passed away Monday, December 2, 2013 at his residence.

He was born in Oil City, PA on November 21, 1946, a son of the late Walter D. and Martha Belle Smith Spence.

He attended Cathedral Prep and Academy High School.

Jay worked for over 30 years as a produce manager for Super Duper and Festival Foods.

He enjoyed bowling, golfing and loved the Pittsburgh Steelers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and William Spence.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Robbie L. Alexander Spence of Erie; two daughters, Michelle L. Hennessey and her husband Michael and Devi L. Majoris and her husband Jason all of Erie; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Jacob Majoris and a sister, Kay L. Spence of Greenville, PA.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W. 26th Street Erie, PA 16506 on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of a prayer service at 1:00 p.m. in the Burton All Faiths Chapel with Father Michael DeMartinis officiating.

Burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
