Jason Wells

Jason DeWayne Wells, age 41, of Erie, passed away March 6, 2021 at UPMC Hamot Hospital.  He was born in Erie, February 2, 1980, a son of Ernestine Glover Ratcliff (Jonathan Ratcliff) and John DeWayne Wells.

Jason attended Central High school.  He was outgoing, outspoken and quite a comedian.  Jason was a family person who was generous and would give you the shirt off his back.

He is preceded in death by his aunt, Vera Jones; his maternal grandparents, Lucious and Ernestine Glover; his paternal grandparents, Isabelle and Darius Clinton.

In addition to his parents, Jason is survived by his children, Jayzhan Wells, Jaya Coleman, Jaizee Wells, Ja-Niya Wells, Ja-Vaeh Wells and Anasia Tarver; his siblings, Leoni Wells, Melissa Moss, Isabella Wells, Lakeyle Ratcliff, Taleisha Ratcliff, Yolanda Ratcliff, Melisha Ratcliff, Sharae McClendon, Kareshia Jackson-Cargyle, Antoine Wells, Christopher Williams, Maurice Williams and John Wells, Jr.  Further surviving are many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Friends may call at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services, Inc. Downtown, 602 W. 10^th St. on Friday, March 12, 2021 from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and are invited to the funeral service there on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 11 a.m., with Elder Tony Ratcliff presiding.  Burial will follow at Lakeside Cemetery.
