With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jake Webber, a loving son, devoted father, and cherished friend, who left us far too soon. Jake was filled with kindness, always the first to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His generous spirit and compassionate nature touched the lives of everyone he encountered.
He was born on August 6, 1979, in Erie, Pennsylvania, to Sherri (Petri) Webber and the late Andy Webber. Jake graduated from Fairview High School, Class of 1998 and went on to earn an associate degree from Fortis Institute of Technology.
His love knew no bounds, and he was a constant source of strength and encouragement as a father. Jake was also a fantastic friend whose infectious laughter and brilliant sense of humor brought joy to countless gatherings. He had a unique talent for telling jokes, and his ability to brighten a room with silliness and napkin flowers. Known for his impressive knowledge of the latest movies/shows/comedians. He had a passion for good food and was often the first to show up at a gathering with a delicious dish in hand, ready to share and connect with those he loved. As we remember Jake on, we celebrate the love, laughter, and kindness he brought into our lives. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charles “Dutch” and Dolores Petri and dog, Beau Lee.
He leaves behind to cherish him in memory, a daughter, Mercedies Webber (16); son, Lucas Webber (19) and his mother, Sherri Webber. He is further survived by his close friends, Pamela Schell, Josh Miller, Justin and Kayla Manross, Rob Grettler, Lisa Haus, and the Zasada, Sedler, Strait, Gannoe & Dropcho families.
Friends are invited to call at the Girard Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East, on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM. A private celebration of life will be held to honor Jakes's memory. Family and close friends will gather to share stories and reflect on the beautiful moments spent together.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the funeral home in care of the family to help cover funeral costs. Your support during this difficult time is greatly appreciated and will help honor Jake’s legacy.
Rest in peace, Jake. Your light will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
