Jason Hunter

Jason Derrick “Bubba” Hunter age 17, of Fairview, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014 following injuries from an automobile accident.

He was born in Erie on September 25, 1996, a son of Jason D. and Kelly Komisarski Hunter of Fairview.

Jason attended Fairview High School where he was a member of the Varsity football team and was recently employed with Fairview High School doing ground work and also worked at Poor Richards Bait Shop.

He was a very active member at Immanuel Lutheran Church where he served as both and altar boy and alter server.

Jason enjoyed riding his dirt bike and his pride and joy 4-wheeler. He was excellent at fixing things and loved working on machines and anything mechanical. He loved spending time with his friends and family especially all of his cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Jay Hunter.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Jake and Jonathan Hunter; sister, Jennifer Hunter; his grandparents, Diane and Charles Komisarski and Dani Gibson; aunts and uncles; Christian Komisarski, Laurie Appleton (Steve), Jamie Komisarski (Melanie), Jason Komisarski (Missy Larson) , Stacey Kula (Greg) and Bryan Stolze (Lisa); his cousins, Krista and Josh Stolze, Justin and Trevor Appleton, Jaelyn and Jordan Komisarski, Hailey Mae Rose Komisarski, Kendall Komisarski, Addison and Jared Kula, Abby Farmer and Kate Komisarski. He is further survived by his five best friends, Mitchell Sturgeon, Frank Lasky, Brent Snyder, Shaun Sweny and Casey Ireson; his girlfriend Cassie Maree and his two dogs, Kody and his buddy Chief.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W 26th Street (at Powell Ave) on Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and are invited to attend a service on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church 1002 Powell Ave, Erie, PA 16505.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Jason Hunter/Komisarski fund at any PNC Bank.
