Janice Sedler

Janice K. Sedler, age 83, of W. Springfield, passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at her residence.

She was born in Erie, on March 25, 1932, a daughter of the late Alford and Marion Cumming Garnow.

Janice graduated from Academy High School in 1950 and later graduated from Comptometer School. She worked at Lovell Manufacturing Company in the production office and was also a cashier for Springfield Elementary School.

She was a member of the VFW 4965. Janice belonged to Keynotes Drum and Bugle Corp. She loved to go to camp with her son.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Raymond “Butch” Sedler in 1999; a son, Mark Sedler in 2012; two sisters and their husbands: Marilyn and John McNally and Patricia and Charles Jenks.

Janice is survived by two nieces, Gail McNally Laughlin of Waterford and Barbara McNally of Erie; nephews: John McNally and his wife Sue and Daniel Jenks and his wife Heidi, all of Erie, her nephew and godson, Gordon Jenks and his wife Elaine of Delaware. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews. Janice will be missed by her loving family and family friend, James Dougherty.

Per her wishes, no calling hours will be observed. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East in Girard.
