Janice Berchtold

Janice Scheloske Berchtold age 77, of Erie, passed away on Tuesday August 26, 2014 at Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, NY.

Born in Erie on March 25th, 1937 the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Davidson Scheloske.

Janice graduated from Academy High School, class of 1955.

She was employed as a bookkeeper, tax preparer and a school bus driver. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Janice enjoyed travel and working in her yard.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Hersperger and Dolores Scheloske.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years Don Berchtold of Erie; son Doug Berchtold and his wife Annie of Kitchener, Ontario; daughter Julie Molnar and her husband Mike of Erie; daughter Vicki Haas and her husband John of N. Collins, NY; and five grandchildren, Mychal, Mitch and Marissa Molnar and Zachary and Austin Haas.

Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 West 26th Street (at Powell Ave) on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m.
