Janet Whelpley-Kohler

Janet Whelpley Kohler, age 88, of Erie, passed away on Friday, April 26, 2024 at Regency at South Shore.

She was born on December 1, 1935 in Erie, PA, a daughter of the late Herbert and Harriet Whelpley.

She attended Erie Technical School and Syracuse University.  She also served her country in the United States Marine Corp.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Joseph Kohler.

Janet is survived by a son, Michael G. Brentari (Laura) of Houston, TX, daughter, Catherine C. Studley (Keith) of Scarborough, ME, daughter, Renee E. Johntony (Frank) of Champion, OH, and a sister, Patricia Bogart (Clarence “Bogie”) of Erie. She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Burton Quinn-Scott Funeral Home, 602 West 10^th St., Erie. Inurnment will take place in Whispering Pines Cremation Garden.
