Janet Smith

Janet E. Smith, age 73, of Erie, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Saint Vincent Hospital.  She was born in Erie on September 16, 1944, a daughter of the late Milford H. and Madeline T. Rastatter Parker.

Janet was a graduate of the 1963 class of Strong Vincent High School.  She loved shopping, crocheting and knitting.  Janet was a school volunteer at Luther Memorial Academy and enjoyed playing games on her computer.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Janet is survived by her husband of 50 years, Alan D. Smith, her children, Michelle Sweeney (Tim). of Harborcreek, Alan Smith, Jr. (Shannon), of Erie and Stephanie Fenno (Michael), of Erie, nine grandchildren, David and Daniel Sweeney, Kayla, Hannah, Haven and Jonathon Smith and Tyler, Kristofer and Brennan Fenno.  She is further survived by her sister, Linda Cammarata (Frank), of Cherry Hill, NJ and her brother Jeffrey Parker (Chris), of Lawrence Park as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Services were private and entrusted to Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10^th Street, Erie.
