Janet Pratt

Janet M. Komisarski Pratt age 71, of Erie and formerly of Girard, passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at Millcreek Community Hospital following a brief battle with cancer.

She was born on July 3, 1945 in Erie, a daughter of the late Mike and Anna Vargulich Komisarski.

Janet was a 1963 graduate of Girard Rice Avenue UnionHigh School. She had worked as a waitress and bartender for many years at various places in Erie.

She loved gardening and going to the casino. She enjoyed traveling and going to lunch with the girls of the class of 63. Janet loved her family and friends and spending time with her life partner, Roger Pierce

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Michael E. Komisarski and a sister Delores Romba.

She is survived by her beloved companion of over 21 years Roger Pierce; a brother Joseph Komisarski and his wife Annette of Lake City; seven nieces and nephews: Michael Komisarski; William Robert Komisarski; Robin Stonitsch; Mark Romba; Karen Schnaekel; Kathy Nicotra; and Holly MacKenzie; as well as many cousins.

Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home 525 Main St., Girard on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of memorial service at 2:00 p.m. with Deacon Tony Alleruzo officiating. Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
