Janet Kindle

Janet Allen Kindle, age 84, of Erie, died Thursday, January 22, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her family as she passed. Born in Erie on March 19, 1930 she was the daughter of the late Arthur Tyler and Janet Martin Allen.

Janet was a graduate of Academy High School, Class of 1947; she enjoyed golf, softball, and bowling, where she had a high game of 288; she enjoyed all sports.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl M. Kindle, three brothers, David Allen, Arthur Allen and her twin brother, Daniel Allen; and her grandson, Robert Kindle.

Janet is survived by her four children, Daniel Kindle and his wife Pamela, of Erie, Tracy Cooke and her husband Phil, of Raleigh, NC, Douglas Kindle, and David Kindle and his wife Sharon, all of Erie; she is further survived by her brother, Richard Allen and his wife Mary; 12 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Burton Wintergreen Funeral Home 2532 Norcross Road on Sunday from 2pm till 5 pm and are invited to services there on Monday at 10 am with the Reverend Carl Hull officiating. Burial will be at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
