James Zipperi

James Allen Zipperi, age 34, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023, due to injuries sustained in an accident.

 He was born on August 14, 1988, in Erie, the youngest son to Thomas and Elizabeth “Betsy” Overmoyer Zipperi Jr.

James attended McDowell High School. He loved spending time with his family and friends. His passions in life were listening to music, playing Super Nintendo and cooking.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Violet Overmoyer; grandfather, Thomas Zipperi Sr.; uncle, Richard Bross; cousin, Kimberly Bross; and his nephew this past August, Damen Davidson.

In addition to his parents, he will be forever missed by his older siblings, Nicole Rockett (Corey), of Florida, Shawna Zipperi (Jon), of Erie, and Christopher Zipperi (Cassie), of Indiana; his girlfriend, Melissa Pasquarello; his mother’s boyfriend, Justin Prawdzik; and many uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Inc. Downtown, 602 West 10th Street, Erie, PA 16502.

A memorial has been started at the West 16^th & Greengarden Avenue railroad tracks, located on the west side of the tracks by Shell gas station, in Erie, PA.
