James Frawley Wheeler age 72, of Erie, died Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Comfort Care Home in Erie. He was born in Erie on December 7, 1941 a son of the late Melvin James and Anne Geary Wheeler. Jim was a 1960 graduate of Strong Vincent High School and attended Findley College. He worked for many years with M.J. Wheeler Trucking and was an avid Cleveland Browns and Indians fan.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann Hickok. In addition to his wife Lynn, he leaves a son, Jamie Wheeler and his wife Jaime of Santa Monica, CA., a daughter, Christine Hardmon and her husband Jerome of Fairfield, TX., two grandchildren; Gianna and Alexander Hardmon, a brother Robert Wheeler and his wife Patty of Erie, a sister, Kate Altadonna and her husband Joseph of Cleveland, Ohio and three special caregivers; Jamal, Michael and Monica who took wonderful care of him at Comfort Care Home.
Friends are invited to call on the family at St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church, 1116 West 7th Street, Erie, Pa. on Saturday, from 10 am until the time of the memorial Mass in Jim’s honor at 11:00 am with Father William J. O’Brien celebrant.
