James Stevens

James Stevens, 82, of Erie passed away on Monday, August 19, 2024

He was born in Erie on September 11, 1941, the son of the late Ralph and Irene Harahuc Stevens.

He served in the United States Army MP Division in Vietnam War from 1958 to 1962.

He had worked as a steel worker at Lake View Forge Company for 41 years.

He was a member of Elmwood Avenue Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder.

He was preceded in death by hours of his beloved wife of 41 years Ann “Niki” DiNicola Stevens, 2 brothers Jerry Stevens, Kenneth Stevens and 1 sister Linda Washek and 2 grandsons William Hawkins and Benny Hawkins.

He is survived by 3 sons, Mark Goodwin and wife Debbie of Erie; Jeff Goodwin of Erie, James Stevens and wife Margie of Richmond, MI and 4 daughters Lori Hawkins Stoddard and husband Eric of Erie, Christine Bloxdorf and husband Richard of Kissimmee, Florida, Theresa Chapple and husband Jim of Tulsa, OK, Kathleen Piccione and partner Peter of Centerport, NY; a brother, Sam Kitcey. 12 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends may call at Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Rd., Erie, PA on Friday August 23, 2024 from 11am until time of service at 1pm with Rev. David Edmunds officiating.

Burial will be in Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery with military honors rendered by the Erie Crawford County Burial Detail.
