Jimmy Spain, 69, of Erie, passed away at his home on November 9, 2016. Born on May 22, 1947 in Erie, son of the late Pete Spain and Nebraska Jones Bishop. He worked at Conrail for 10 years. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, his dog, and taking care of his car.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy is preceded in death by a daughter, Alesia Spain; a granddaughter, Antwanasia Robison; and two brothers, Lee Spain and Edward Bishop also his step-father Robert Bishop. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Spain; his children, Melissa and Stephanie Spain, Heather Conn (Jeff), Angie Proctor (Steve); Corey Ivey, Dana Ball, and Jimmy Beason, Shawn Ball all of Erie; his siblings James Spain (Francis) Robert Jr., Rena, Milton, Nebraska Pettus, Earl, JoAnn, Jerome, Mack, and Mark Bishop Jackie Carson (Gary). 18 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. A host of nieces, nephews and friends who all love and miss him.
Friends are invited to call at the Burton Funeral Home 602 West 10th St. at Cherry St. on Monday November 14, 2016 from 1pm to 3pm and 6pm to8 pm. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 602 West 10th Street, Erie, PA 16502.
