James Scheuer

James Thomas Scheuer age 64, of Erie, passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at St. Vincent Medical Center.

He was born in Erie on February 19, 1957 a son of the late Edmund and Maryella Weaver Scheuer.

James graduated from General McLane High School and went on to St. Vincent Nursing School.

He worked as a Registered Nurse at Pleasant Ridge Manor for several years.

James loved life and loved enjoying it with his family, friends, and dogs. He would stop and help anyone and everyone that needed help. He enjoyed working in his yard, shooting guns at the range, and riding four wheelers through the woods searching for deer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Jack, David and Dennis Scheuer.

He is survived by his wife, Kathey Sanner Scheuer; his children, Kyle (Taryn) Scheuer, Dr. Kelly Scheuer (Charley Case), Kacie Scheuer (fiancé James Brown), Robert Benford (Jannelle) and Rich Benford (Lisa); grandchildren, Gordon, Guinevere and Gilbert Scheuer and Dominique, Rylee, Tyler and Robert Benford; two great granddaughters; two siblings, Suzanne (Chuck) Leone and Gerald Scheuer and a sister in law, Sue Scheuer.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services 3801 W. 26th Street on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of a prayer service at 5:00 p.m.
