James E. Oleski, age 74, of Erie, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at his residence.
He was born in Erie on April 28th, 1942, a son of the late Stephen T. and Pauline Helen Scubic Oleski.
James attended Lawrence Park High School and served in the United States Air Force. He worked as a welder for American Sterilizer for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also liked watching NASCAR and football, particularly the Oakland Raiders.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Hientz Oleski, a daughter, Cindy Oleski, a brother, Steve Oleski and a sister, Jean Hellfrich.
James is survived by a son, Steve C. Oleski and his wife Terri, of Cambridge Springs, two grandchildren, Makaila Benge and Zachary Butcher also of Cambridge Springs, PA and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street, (at Powell Avenue,) on Friday from 11 a.m until the time of service there at 1 p.m.
Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
