James Maurer
December 25, 1952 — October 7, 2018
James Irwin Maurer age 65, of Millcreek, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2018 at UPMC Hamot.
He was born in Erie on December 25, 1952 a son of the late Droze and Lucille Maurer.
James graduated from McDowell high School and then went on to work at Steris until his retirement.
He enjoyed watching football especially the Pittsburgh Steelers, going to the casino and war museums. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed going to the peninsula.
He is survived by a son, Donald Maurer and his wife Heather; two granddaughters, Maille and Violet Maurer; and two nephews, James and Mark Maurer.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home 3801 W 26th Street (at Powell Ave) on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m.
