James M. “Lefty” Lewis, age 53, of Girard, passed away, Friday, August 7, 2015 at St. Vincent Health Center following an extended illness.
He was born in Erie on November 17, 1961, a son of the late Paul L. and Barbara C. Jordan Lewis.
Jimmy graduated from Girard High School in 1980. He was a member of the Dobler Hose Fire Police and on their 2nd team of bowling, Bethel Assembly softball team and a member of the PA Fire Police Association. He was also had worked as a farm hand at Joe Pustelak’s farm.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a nephew, Charles Lewis, Jr.
Jimmy is survived by his brothers, Paul Lewis, Jr. and Charles Lewis, Sr. He is further survived by seven nieces: Christina Lewis, Jacquline and her husband Douglas Heim, Rebecca and her husband Mark Moyer, Jo-Ann Bronson, Tiffany Lewis, Dixie Lewis, and Kelly Lewis; a nephew, Matthew Lewis and his wife, Lisa; former sister in law, Christine L. Lewis; an uncle, Wayne Lewis.
Friends may call at the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main St. East, in Girard, on Friday from 3 until the time of the service at 7pm.
