James Jasper

James H. Jasper, age 72, of Girard, passed away unexpectedly on April 5, 2021 at St. Vincent Health Center after a brief illness.

He was born in Hastings, PA. On June 11, 1948, a son of the late Jack and Alice Prosky Jasper.  James was a graduate of Strong Vincent High School and was a proud member of the US Army, having served in Vietnam.

Jim had worked at PHB as a tool room supervisor, retiring in 2018 after 49 years. 

He was a member of The Federated Church and he was a loving and devoted dad and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and his dog Bentley.   James enjoyed cooking, gardening and always sent the most thoughtful cards.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Boyd Jasper and his son Steven.

Jim is survived by his two sons, Andrew (Amy) Jasper of Warren, and William (Kathy Chilensky) Jasper of Pittsburgh and daughter in law, Jessica Klimek; , and his brother Gary (Natalie) Jasper of Erie. He is further survived by his grandchildren; Anthony, Kolleen, James Nary and Jadon Klimek; as well as nieces, Anna (David) Ruoff and Teresa (Barry) Herman and a nephew, James Jasper.
