James P. Jackson Jr., age 78, of Millcreek, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, January 29th, 2025.
He was born in Erie on December 1, 1946, a son of the late James P., Marjorie Adams Jackson, and stepfather, Gordon Elley.
Jim was a 1964 graduate of McDowell High School, he worked for over 12 years as a machine operator for Zurn Industries and then moved to Florida and worked there for many years.
He loved photography and working on small engines and cars. He could fix anything. Jim was a former member of Grace Baptist and St. Julia Church with his wife, Leslie.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his beloved wife Leslie Lewis Jackson in 2018.
He is survived by his sister, Pamela Shaut and her husband, Jim; a niece, Kaila Shaut; three nephews, James G. Shaut (Janice Friedricksmeyer), Stephen Shaut (Amy), and Brandon Shaut; great nephews, Caeden Shaut, Conner Orzhowski, and Cameron Friedricksmeyer; as well as a great niece, Aubrie Fox.
The family would like to say a special thank you to all who took care of Jimmy at LECOM Mental Health and LECOM at Village Square.
Private Arrangements entrusted to the Burton Quinn Scott, Cremation and Funeral Services, 3801 West 26th St., Erie at the convenience of the family.
