James Gordon

     James R. Gordon, age 69, of McKean, and formerly of Erie, passed away at his residence, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday May 26th, 2021.  He was born in Erie PA on October 3^rd, 1951, the son of the late Josephine and Frederick Gordon.  James graduated from Strong Vincent High school in  1970 .  James proudly served in the United States Air Force.  He enjoyed the arts, karaoke, cooking, making people laugh and most importantly time with his family.

      In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sandy, their furry companion Banjo, and his two brothers, Kenneth and Frederick Gordon, both of Erie.  James is survived by his loving children, Nathan Gordon and significant other Jennifer Plyler, Nicole Whitaker and her husband, Steve, Michelle Feath and her husband, Phil, Mark Gordon and his wife, Jennifer, Matt Wells and his wife, Moneque of Maryland.  James was a proud and fun loving grandfather to 27 grandchildren, all of whom will truly miss the time spent with their grandfather and the laughter involved.  He is also survived by a sister Patricia Gordon of Jacksonville Oregon, and a beloved cousin and lifelong friend Robert Fickenworth of Erie, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Burton Quinn Scott Cremation and Funeral Services, Inc., Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Road, on Saturday, June 5, 2021 from 12 p.m. until the time of memorial service there at 1 p.m.

Inurnment will be in Whispering Pines Cremation Garden.
