James Douglas "Doug" Doleski, age 42 of Fairview, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 5, 2013.
He was born in Erie on February 12, 1971, the son of Janet and James Doleski of Fairview, PA.
Doug graduated from Cathedral Prep, attended the University of Pittsburgh, and graduated from Mercyhurst University with a degree in business.
He owned Leo's Car Wash, Express Care Valvoline, and the UPS Store in the Yorktown Plaza.
Doug loved his family and was the kindest and most generous to all. He was passionate about his work, cars, and life. Doug was always known to have a ball cap on and a smile on his face. He was an awesome cornholer, loved camping and snowmobiling. If you knew Doug , he loved fire, and the bigger the fire the better.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 15 years, Michele DeDomenico Doleski, two daughters: Kiera and Amanda; a brother Dr. Kenneth Doleski and his wife Tracy of Erie; two sisters: Christine Specht and her husband Rev. Mark Specht of Media, Pa., and Debra Bindseil and her husband Dr. Richard Bindseil of Longmont, Colorado; nieces and nephews: Oksana and Lars Specht, Sierra and Jordan Bindseil and Alex and Valeri Doleski; his grandmother Anna Orloff, father-in-law Lamont and Linda DiDomenico; two aunts: Diane Weber and Vera Goluboff and many cousins.
Friends may call at the Burton Westlake Funeral Home, 3801 West 26th Street on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m., and are invited to a service there on Monday at 10 a.m.
The family gracefully declines flowers, and are asking for memorials in honor of their daughter to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund, 1030 State Street, Erie PA 16501
