James R. Coughlin, age 89, of Erie, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025, at Sarah Reed Senior Living. He was born in Oil City, PA on July 14, 1935, and was the son of the late John and Delia Coughlin.
James graduated from Erie Technical High School, class of 1954. He served in the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1958 and went on to work for the United States Postal Service until his retirement.
In addition to his parents, James is preceded in death by his sister Marge Tharon, and brother Daniel Coughlin.
He is survived by his siblings, Jerome Coughlin and Sharon Sitter, and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements will be private at the convenience of the family, and are entrusted to Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Service Inc. Downtown, 602 W. 10th Street, Erie.
